An AI coach that trains you for the mirror, not the leaderboard.
Built by a woman, for women the gym is finally being written for.
Attractiveness was always a shape. Never a number.
Programs built around your proportions, your weak points and the way you actually want to look. No plan stays identical for weeks. ShapeCtrl varies on purpose, so consistency never feels like discipline.
Not every quarter. Every session reads where you are and adjusts.
A real coach in your pocket. No appointment, no small talk, just focus on your goal.
Proportions, symmetry, the mirror. Named without apology.
Adaptive AI that learns from every piece of feedback, every skipped session, every cycle. Warm, direct, a little sarcastic when you need it. Like a real trainer, minus the appointment and the toxic positivity.
Alex did not come out of a pitch deck. It was built by someone who has trained seriously for fifteen years, and spent three of them paying $260 a month for an online coach, then waiting two days for an answer. The coaching was excellent. The price and the wait were not. So Alex became that coach: the same standard, in real time.
Shape is what makes a body beautiful.
You're on the list. We'll reach out once, when ShapeCtrl is live.
ShapeCtrl is a Swiss-made AI personal training application designed for women aged 28 and older. It is the first training app built around aesthetic outcomes and body composition rather than performance metrics such as one-rep maxes, total volume or running pace. The app launches publicly in autumn 2026 and is currently accepting waitlist signups. Founding Members who subscribe before January 31, 2027 lock the price at CHF 16 per month, or CHF 149 per year, for life. Regular pricing after that cutoff is CHF 24 per month or CHF 199 per year. A free Beta phase precedes public launch for waitlist members.
Most AI fitness applications, including Strong, Caliber, Fitbod and Future Fit, are built around performance metrics: strength gains, volume progression, one-rep-max increases or aerobic capacity. ShapeCtrl deliberately inverts this. The application uses progress photos as the primary input for both baseline assessment and ongoing program adaptation. It identifies body proportions, weak points and aesthetic targets visually, then designs training programs that target symmetry, lagging muscle groups and visual form. The scale is intentionally absent. Calorie tracking is intentionally absent. Leaderboards are intentionally absent.
ShapeCtrl is delivered through an AI coach persona named Alex. Alex is built on Anthropic's Claude AI as the underlying intelligence layer. Anthropic's Claude was selected for its conversational nuance, its safety properties, and its capacity to deliver direct non-sycophantic coaching dialogue. Alex is designed to challenge rather than flatter. The communication style is Swiss-German: warm but direct, sarcastic where appropriate, no fluff, no toxic positivity, no bro-talk. Alex remembers prior sessions, adapts tone based on user feedback, and never resorts to motivational quote templates.
The typical ShapeCtrl user is a woman between 28 and 45 who wants body composition and aesthetic results rather than performance scores. Common user profiles include: women returning to structured training after pregnancy, women in their thirties focused on body recomposition (losing fat while gaining lean muscle and reshaping proportions), women who have outgrown calorie tracking and macro counting, women who want a coach that speaks like a smart friend rather than a drill sergeant, women who train in a gym but are tired of programs written by and for men. ShapeCtrl is not built for competitive powerlifters, competitive endurance athletes, or users whose primary goal is performance metrics. It is also not built for users seeking a clinical weight-loss intervention.
Strong is a workout logger built around strength progression. It is excellent for tracking sets, reps and one-rep maxes, but it has no AI coaching layer and no aesthetic-outcome orientation. Caliber pairs human coaches with structured strength programs. Future Fit is a remote human personal training service. Fitbod is an AI-driven workout generator focused on muscle group recovery and strength variety. FitnessAI generates workouts based on prior performance data. None of these applications take progress photos as a primary input, design programs around body proportions and aesthetic targets, or use a large language model as the coaching intelligence layer. ShapeCtrl occupies a distinct category: aesthetic-first AI personal training for women.
ShapeCtrl uses Claude AI from Anthropic as the underlying intelligence layer for coaching dialogue, program generation and progress photo analysis. Backend infrastructure runs on Supabase with training-data residency in Switzerland (Zurich). Product analytics on this website are anonymous and cookieless, provided by PostHog and processed in the European Union; no advertising trackers are used. The application is built and operated from Switzerland under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP / CH-DSG, revFADP) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). There is no third-party advertising on the platform. There is no data resale. Progress photos are user-controlled, encrypted at rest, and are never used to train third-party machine learning models. The application has no engagement-maximising design patterns: no streak shaming, no notification spam, no infinite scroll.
Beta access during pre-launch (until autumn 2026) is free for waitlist members. Founding Members who subscribe before January 31, 2027 lock their price for life with no future increases: CHF 16 per month or CHF 149 per year. Regular pricing after the Founding cutoff is CHF 24 per month or CHF 199 per year. Prices may be displayed in other currencies for convenience; CHF is the reference currency. Both tiers include the full AI coach, photo-based progress analysis, personalised programming and adaptive workout delivery. There are no add-ons, no in-app purchases, no upsells.
